                                  26 Days Indonesian Archipelago

Day 1 :   Arrival Medan – Parapat
Morning arrive at Medan Airport from Kuala Lumpur. Meet and greet at the airport then depart for Parapat – famous mountain and lake resort on the east shore of the immense volcanic Lake Toba. En route, first hour pass by several small towns and then followed by vast view of rubber, oil palm, cacao plantations, paddy terraces, etc. Arrive in Parapat, check in hotel.


Day 2 :   Samosir Island Tour (B)
After breakfast, start for Samosir Island Tour by boat. Visit the Tomb of King Sidabutar and Batak Toba Village at Tomok. Then to Ambarita, a traditional village with ancient megalithic furniture in front of the traditional house and also visit the Village of Simanindo to watch folkdance performance of Batak Toba people. Afternoon return to hotel.

Day 3 :   Parapat – Brastagi (B)
After breakfast, depart for Brastagi via the Ring Road of Lake Toba. En route pass by pine tree plantation, the magnificent scenery of Lake Toba, fertile vegetable and fruit farms. Visit the ancient King’s Palace of Simalungun at Pematang Purba. Proceed to the slender Sipiso-piso Waterfall which drops into Lake Toba from hundred of meter height. Arrive in Brastagi, a refreshing mountain resort dominated by two active volcanoes. Visit the fruit market and the traditional Batak Karo village – Peceran. Then check in hotel.

Day 4 :   Brastagi – Bohorok (B)
Depart for Bohorok via Medan in 4½ hour drive. En route passing through some part of the lush tropical rain forest of Sumatera. Arrive in Bohorok, check in hotel.

Day 5 :   Bohorok – Medan (B)
Start trekking to see Orang Utan. First walk along the riverbank to the crossing point and cross the river by small canoe to the Orang Utan Rehabilitation Center. Hike up the hill through the rain forest to see the activities of those illegally captured and young Orang Utans which are trained to return to their natural habitat ( trekking is required ). After the visit, walk back to your assembling point. Afternoon return to Medan, the capital city of North Sumatra province. Check in hotel for overnight.

Day 6 :   Flight to Jakarta (B)
After breakfast, transfer to airport for flight to Jakarta. Meet and greet services then direct transfer to hotel for overnight stay. Rest of the day is free at own leisure.

Day 7 :   Jakarta – Bogor – Bandung (B)
After breakfast, drive to Bandung with en route visit the wellknown Botanical Garden and stop to see the tea plantations at Puncak Pass. Check in and overnight at hotel.

Day 8 :   Bandung – Yogyakarta (B)
After breakfast transfer to railway station for a scenic train to Yogyakarta passing many lush countryside views along the way. Check in hotel for overnight. Afternoon is free leisure.

Day 9 :   Sightseeing Yogyakarta (B)
Breakfast at hotel. Sightseeing Yogyakarta, the centre of Javanese arts and culture. Visit the Sultan’s Palace, Batik Workshop, Leather Handicrafts, Bird Market, and the silverworks at Kotagede. Then continue the trip to visit the majestic Buddhist Temple Borobudur. Return to hotel for overnight.

Day 10 : Yogyakarta – Bromo (B)
Leave Yogyakarta for Tosari about 8 hours driving, the base camp to explore Mount Bromo. En route visit the elegant Hindu shrine complex of Prambanan (UNESCO World Heritage Site). Check in hotel.

Day 11 : Bromo – Surabaya (B)
Wake-up call at 03.00 in the morning then a short drive will take you to Cemoro Lawang. From here riding on horse back for 30 minutes across the sand sea to the foot of Mount Bromo, then climb the 245 staircase up to the rim of the volcano. After this venture, return to hotel for a hot bath and breakfast. Then depart to Surabaya and overnight at hotel.

Day 12 : Flight to Makassar – Pare Pare (B)
Depart to airport for flight to Makassar. Arrive at Makassar Airport then set out on the picturesque drive to Pare Pare passing the Buginese villages with their typical houses. On the way visit Bantimurung waterfall and butterfly breading farm. See the local people with their daily activities. Afternoon walk along the boulevard to see the fishermen activities. Onwards to Pasar Malam, a local market located on the water front of Pare Pare. Check in hotel.

Day 13 : Pare Pare – Toraja (B,D)
After breakfast, drive to Toraja land with many photo stops en route. Visiting Suaya village famous with King stone grave then to Kambira village to discover the baby grave in the tree. Then check in hotel.

Day 14 : Sightseeing Toraja (B,D)
After breakfast, a fullday exploring Toraja land with visit Lemo to see Tau-Tau statues and the hanging graves. Onwards to Siguntu village and Tampangallo village to discover an ancient grave where the deceased are entombed. Continue to Kete Kesu, one of the oldest Torajan villages to see Tongkonan and old rice barns, also famous for its traditional colorful woodcarving. Return to hotel for accommodation.

Day 15 : Sightseeing Toraja (B,D)
Set out on a trip to Batutumonga enjoying superb views over Rantepao and surrounding valleys. Ideal for a walk along the rice fields and the daily Torajan live. On the way visit Bori village to find a megalith complex used by local as the funeral site. Onwards to Lokomata best known for its huge stone grave. Afternoon also visiting Pallawa, Sa’dan, known as the weaving center of Rantepao. Return to hotel for accommodation.

Day 16 : Flight to Lombok (B)   
Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to airport for flight to Mataram, the capital city of Lombok Island. Meeting services upon arrival, then check in.

Day 17 : Sasak Traditional Tour (B) 
Breakfast at hotel. Drive to Sesela Village for an exotic journey using the local ’Gondola’ of bamboo raft along Meninting River. Continue the trip to Banyumulek and Sukarara Village specializing in handmade pottery crafts and traditional handweaving cloths. Next visit is a Sasak Village with its traditional hyperbolic shaped thatched huts. Transfer to the southern coast of the island. Return to hotel.

Day 18 : Gili Islands Tour (B)
After breakfast, travel along the northern coast line of the island to visit Pusuk Pass, home to a colony of wild monkeys and offers dramatic panorama as a backdrop of Gili Islands peninsula. Then towards to Bangsal harbor for across to Gili Islands (Gili Meno, Gili Trawangan, Gili Air) by a traditional boat. Spend rest of the day for sun bathing, swimming, snorkeling or just relaxing on this pristine island. Return to hotel.

Day 19 : Flight to Bali (B)
After breakfast, transfer to airport for flight to Bali. Meeting services upon arrival, then check in hotel.

Day 20 : Flight to Labuan Bajo (B,L,D)  
Morning flight to Labuan Bajo. Meeting services upon arrival, then direct transfer to hotel for overnight stay. En route visit Mirror Cave.

Day 21 : Sightseeing Komodo Dragon (B,L,D)
In early morning, departure from Labuhan Bajo by semi modern wooden boat to Rinca Island about 2 hours. En-route you can enjoy the wonderful sunrise and view of the small surrounding islands. Upon arrival at Loh Buaya pier start the walk for about 1 hour to reach the home of Komodo Dragons where you see them in their own habitat. These animals grow up to 3 meters long and 200 kg in weight. Chance to see other wild animals, like water buffalo, deer, horses, etc. Afterwards sail to Bidadari Island with white sandy beaches for swimming and snorkeling. In the afternoon return to Labuhan Bajo and transfer to hotel.

Day 22 : Flight to Bali (B)
After breakfast return to airport for flight back to Bali. Meeting services upon arrival, then check in hotel. Rest of the day is free at own activities.

Day 23 : Free Program (B)

Day 24 : Sightseeing Bali (B,L)        
Drive to Batubulan village to watch Barong and Kris dance performance. Then visit the art and handicraft villages of Celuk, Mas and Batuan to witness gold and silver work, hand weaving woodcarving and painting. Proceed to Goa Gajah or Elephant Cave, a Hindu meditation center dating back to the 11th century. Then Tampak Siring to see the holy spring water temple Tirta Empul. Next on to view the magnificent panorama on the still active Mount Batur volcano and lake Batur. Drive through Bangli town to see the 13th century Kehen temple. Return to hotel for accommodation.   

Day 25 : Free Program (B)

Day 26 : Departure Bali (B) 
Free at own activities until time to be transfered to airport for onward flight.
